Hello Gorgeous:
I am so behind on the Jaclyn Hill 'The Vault' collections, but I am finally catching up! On a over-due trip to UltaBeauty with co-workers, I gravitated towards the beautiful colors of this palette. I first heard of Jaclyn Hill when my little sister purchased her original Morphe palette. I was so impressed with the shadows of her palette and decided to follow Jaclyn Hill's Instagram, Youtube, and Snapchat...I can say without regret that I am obsessed!
The first palette from her Vault collection that I will be reviewing is her Armed and Gorgeous
palette. This glamorous palette consists of yellow, oranges, greens, and golds...Autumn colors, but whose gonna check you boo?! You can definitely rock these gorgeous colors year round. These tones are not particularly new, as tons of palettes have similar shades, but these particular shades in one palette is what I enjoy the most.
This palettes' formula is supposed to be creamy, blend-able, pigmented shadows. Which initially is the reason for my purchase of this palette. I would have loved to see more pigmentation in the yellows and oranges...especially for individuals with a darker complexion. I also noticed a few of the colors do not stack well and there is a little fall out when applying this eye shadow. In order to make the shadow 'Access' pop more, I attempted to apply more to achieve the desired look and it was a struggle to do so. I eventually used a yellow from a different palette. Do not let that stop you from purchasing this palette. There are other perks. It comes with a mirror so you can always stay gorgeous on-the-go. The golds and the 'POP' of green in this palette are beyond gorgeous! This palette is also very affordable!
